Terms & Conditions for Product / Shop Reviews of S’whales B.V. If there are discrepancies, the French version of this page shall prevail.

You can evaluate a product or shop and write a review only if you have purchased the product or placed an order with that shop. You must also have an account on S’whales and be logged in. This way, we can verify the authenticity of the received reviews and their authors. You can leave a review on each product page and each shop. The following regulations apply.

Prerequisites

1. Be registered on swhales.eu through a customer account and be logged into it to be able to evaluate a product or a shop.

2. Have placed an order with the shop to be able to leave a review on its product or shop.

3. Have purchased the product or placed an order with the shop, which is the subject of the evaluation, through S’whales and on its website swhales.eu.

What is not allowed

1. The author of the review has not purchased the item via swhales.eu.

2. Opinions or statements that do not pertain to the product usage experience for product reviews and do not relate to the experience with the selling partner for boutique reviews.

3. Remarks exclusively concerning the price, delivery, and/or the selling partner.

4. Inappropriate language and hateful statements, such as, but not limited to, insults, discriminatory remarks, racist, sexist, homophobic, or referencing disability or terrorist activities.

5. Adding references, whether in the form of URLs or not, to other websites.

6. Adding references to discounts, commercial actions, advertising campaigns, or price differences compared to other sellers on swhales.eu or other shops (including online).

7. Commercial content and/or interests unless explicitly mentioned through a separate paragraph. Here are some examples not allowed:

a. The review does not mention that the author has received (even temporarily) the product from a seller or a third party explicitly asking them to write a review about the product.
b. The review does not mention that the author has received financial compensation from a third party to write a review about the article under review.

8. Writing a review about an article where the author is the seller. If it is a privately purchased item not part of the commercial partner’s assortment, the review will be allowed.

Reception & Publication of Reviews

Our customers can only write a review for the items they have actually purchased via swhales.eu and only if they are logged into their customer account. These measures ensure that reviews have been written following the use of the product by the review’s author.

1. The drafting of a product review can be done in the form provided in the “Reviews on…” section on each product page. If the author has not purchased the product or is not logged in with the account linked to the order of the item, they will not be able to see the form. Instead, they will receive a notification indicating that they cannot leave a review.

2. Writing a review for one of our commercial partners’ stores can be done in the “Reviews” section on each store on swhales.eu. If the author has not placed an order with the respective store or is not logged in with the account linked to the order placed on that store, they will not be able to see the form. Instead, they will receive a notification indicating that they cannot leave a review.

3. S’whales may invite customers to evaluate and write a review on the product or store if S’whales has previously been in contact with the customer regarding the products or the store in question, either through customer service or via a contact form.

4. Reviews may not be visible immediately on swhales.eu because the S’whales team must first verify, either automatically or manually, the origin and content of the reviews.

5. Verification of reviews can be carried out by S’whales or by a third-party service.

6. The date visible on the review corresponds to its date of drafting.

7. If a reviewer has received compensation from a third party, this is mentioned in the review in question.

Our team does its best to verify and publish reviews within a week, but it may take longer for a more thorough check if necessary.

Takedown of a review

S’whales reserves the right to remove a review of a product or store from the website, immediately after its drafting or subsequently, without prior notice. This may occur in the following cases, among others:

1. If one or more of the above conditions have not been met, or if S’whales can reasonably suppose that is the case.

2. If the review pertains to information about the product that was incorrect at the time of purchase but has been modified since. To prevent any confusion in the minds of customers, S’whales may choose to remove the review of this product.

3. If, through automated detection tools, an unusual practice is identified and leads S’whales to believe that the review is not authentic.

A negative experience is by no means a valid reason to remove or reject a review. If it meets S’whales’ conditions, it will be published online, whether its content is positive or negative.

Changes to this terms & conditions

S’whales may modify or update the Terms & Conditions for Product / Shop Ratings from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by publishing the new terms on this page. You are advised to review these Terms & Conditions for Product / Shop Ratings periodically for any changes. Changes to these terms and this procedure are effective when they are posted on this page.
